Van Rossum’s Rich History
City Hotel Woerden is located in Het Arsenaal, a national monument dating back to 1762, right in the heart of the medieval city centre of Woerden. It offers views of the old corn mill and the tower of the Petruskerk.
Construction was completed in September 1762 as a Royal Arsenal. A wall divided the building into two sections: the larger part served as storage facilities, while the smaller section was the workshop where repairs were carried out. The arsenal was once used as a military warehouse for the field army.
